Comment: Whilst it is good to see that you are a cyclist, the fact that you are effectively advocating the disregard of speed limits in some places is a concern. Having a fast car does not entitle anyone to break the law, as it is not a graded law based on the capability of a vehicle. It is a blanket coverage based on safety for all. As a species, our bodies are capable of a rough maximum of 20mph. T

Comment: Thank you for the information. As a progression I have turned the MGB over to a local charity, purchased a '90 Miata, and begun sniffing for a quicker stablemate. Rotary makes sense so far. What about retroing the Miata w/ a 3-rotor??

Comment: Some well thought ou observations on traffic and road safety. The basic concept on which much speed enforcement etc. is based,'Speed kills',is fundamentary and fatally flawed. Speed does NOT
kill, inappropriate speed or speed in the wrong place kills.

Comment: I am a retired Metropolitan Policeman and could not agree with your point of view more if I had thought it up myself. I doubt that these 'Power Maniacs' in the Local Authorities will heed the words but there are great many people who asgree with you. Keep up the pressure. Regards, Steve

Comment: Did you write the page on traffic calming? If so, my information on pollution is very different from yours. Traffic calming devices increase pollution by the braking and acceleration. And it
doesn't all just go away like I gathered from your article. Please check out our web site--we're the Coalition for Free Streets in Houston, TX.

Comment: I have read your page with interest but sadly feel your attacks on environmentalists are unfare and in many cases simply cheap jokes. I am a keen motorist who has driven performance cars for 35 years. I am also in the business as I am an engineer working for the Hong Kong Transport Department with involvement in Road Safety, Standards and Traffic Control. Let me assure you that you can never cope with the demands of the motor vehicle. If you try then in the urban area you end up with the nightma
