Comment: Further to my last. In addition please remember Taff Coombes tomorrow. If anyone can post details of his life and times to the Web master. Then a Lest we forget tribute can be made. Many Thanks.

Comment: RIP all past Sqn blokes, and also the professional soldiers that we have all had the pleasure to serve alongside, that are waiting at the FRV.
My thoughts go out particularly to Billy ‘The Fish’ McClellan, and many others...
Lest we forget .............. We will remember them!

Comment: Hi Gabby,
Long time no see, owe u doin. John was cremated after a church service in Sheffield. I was on the burial party, this was followed by a good send off at 10 paras(TA)club. I believe, but cannot be sure that his ashes were scattered on Hankley Common. Many thanks for not forgeting him Gabby. We then moved on to Edinburugh for the the funeral of Scottie who was intered. May they both rest in peace.

Comment: Today Paulton Rovers play their vital game.
Paulton as you all know is where the Sapper Memorial is to the First casualties of Arnhem. 21 9 Squadron Sappers & 2 Glider Pilots who died when their Glider crashed at Paulton en route to Arnhem.
The Village is a focal place of 9th Remembrance and the Villagers are so proud of their Memorial and the 9th, who come to remember & march every year.
I hope you all cheer Paulton Rovers on
Pete Yeates. Double Hills next year 5th Sept 2010.

Comment: Just a heads up ref Mr P Allan MBE??.The AEA secretary has written to him requesting he contacts REMO and supply details of his millitary service back to the AEA.On another point a few real Ex 9 members from the 80's 90's are meeting up in London RV Red Lion pub Westminster, around 1015 hrs Sunday. To remember fallen members, dress Sqn blazer, medals berets and then join in with the rememberance contingent. Afterwards a few social beers around local ale houses. All welcome.

Comment: For reasons known only to themsleves, 3Para have decided to Box Cambridge University rather than go ahead with the proposed show against the 23/24 select as I have previoulsy posted details about on the site. I have my own theory on this, but this website is not the place to air them. Apologies to any who were looking foward to a great night of Boxing. Nobody is more dissapointed than me. I will keep the board posted for any other shows involving the Regiment as details become available.
