Comment: i went to this camp way back in the 80s. w the danville church of christ . and i have to say i had some of the bedt times of my life there. it was fun and so much to do.i reccomend this camp for any youth

Comment: I was surfing the net instead of working and came across this website and WOW!! What memories it brought back of my time going to SVYC back in the early 70's. (It really wasn't that long ago,or was it?)
Mr Miller was the gentleman in charge back then also, and his wife Betty was always there and made sure we had great food.
My grandmother(Norma Hughes) back then was our craft counselor and there were always laughs with Steve and Susan Fox.

Comment: We are getting closer and closer. I can't wait to see everyone this year. Hope we get to see all the old faithfuls and new faces too!

Comment: I attended SVYC when the cabins were still wooden, kool-aid was mixed in trash cans, a bell rung in the mornings to get you up, and there was an old house on the property we used for classes. My family and I now go to Carolina Bible Camp in Mocksville NC every summer. CBC is also a church of christ camp and has 7 weeks of camp during the summer and averages around 1000 kids every summer. Camp!! There is nothing like it! Friends for life. God's presence is everywhere!
