Comment: I was a pupil at this school from 1954 to 1957 and was known as Susan Harrison. We moved to Australia in 1964. I am writing of my memories of my school years and decided to look for my schools on the Internet. I now have 3 children and 9 grandchildren. We live a wonderful life here in Australia, but have never got used to the heat. Thank you for being on the Internet, I have saved copies of the school pictures and they will go into my Album of memories for my children in the years to come.

Comment: I was a pupil at 'The Bell School' as it was known then, from '57 to '63. The Bell was the pub adjoining the school and I can remember climbing the fence to drain the dregs from beer bottles in the pubs rear yard! I could only have been about 10!! I also remember an incident where the sports pavilion was blown over in a freak gust of wind, and a child was killed...I dont know any more details. The school was infant and junior, and the infant headteacher lived in the same road as me.

Comment: I was a pupil at what was then the Upminster County Primary School (k/a "the Bell")between 1959 and 1965. I have very happy memories of the school including playing riotous games of "British Bulldog" in the playground (boys and girls)and skating on ice in the winter.Mr. Gaunt was headmaster and most of the teachers seemed to be Welsh. They gave me a brilliant start in life. My surname then was Turpin.

Comment: I was Lynn Martin and have fond memories of the school between 1951 and 1957. Teachers included Miss Lamb and Mr Jones. Mr Gaunt was the headmaster. Enjoyed the wonderful school playing fields especially the high jump during Games!
