Comment: I am seeking to prove that Aaron Clark Jacobs and Mary Polly Allen had a son named Levi before Mary died in Vermont. He then married a Mary Johnson and had several more children in addition to the six children with the first Mary. This family is buried in and around Argyle.

Comment: My Great-Grandfather, Alonzo Kenyon and his brother, Alphonzo Kenyon, were both born in Lafayette County about 1846 to 1848. One family do***ent gives the location of Alphonzo's birth as Stump Grove. The 1850 U.S. Census and Wisconsin 1855 Census, shows the family living in Centre, Lafayette, Wisconsin. Later the family moved to Arcadia, Trempealeau, Wisconsin, where it is believed that their father, Lyman Kenyon died sometime between 1870 and 1880.

Comment: I come here to search for family ties. I am related to the HINKEL,TURGERSON,JACOBS,HAMLYN FAMILIES. My mother is Helen Hinkel born in darlington Wi.in July of 1928. The Jacobs family are from Dodgeville and Mineral Point. My mothers father was Clayton Hinkel. Her mother was Dora Jacobs. I would like to find information for my mother sence she is getting older and my father,Earl Starch has passed on.It may help her remember facts and bring back good memories.

Comment: James and Patrick Claffey (homesteaders)born in Ireland lived near sugar creek. One of them passed away and wife married a Driscoll. One of them also had son named Martin. POssible to review death certs to determine birthplace???

Comment: I am a direct descendt of Dr. William Monroe who was an early pioneer in Mineral Point,WI. He also served in the Wisconsin legislature 1867/68.
Hopefully I can also submit a biography.
