Comment: Sally - I adopted two Bouvs ' in 2006 - I am in Ann Arbor and I agree with you about the benefits of an older dog. One was 4 and the other about 18 months when I was lucky to get them.

Comment: Two years ago I adopted Gus from you. He was 6 at the time, the same age as our female adopted Bouv/Briard mix, Nikki. I thought I wanted a younger dog, but after reading his info, I went to meet him at the farm, and brought him home. Gus and Nikki get along great! He was a velcro dog at first, until he got used to being on the farm, but there is a lot to be said for the mature dogs who know their manners so well. You get the benefit of their experience with all their love.

Comment: We just had our beloved Bouvier put to sleep. She was 11 years old and took ill very suddenly. It was devastating to us. She was the most loyal and devoted dog a person could want. I admire the work you're doing for this wonderful breed.

Comment: I would love to adopt a mature bouvier female, over eight. I know the breed very well as I had Jackie-O for 15 years. I got her as a 10 week old puppy and from there on it was a great relationship and we loved each other so much...I still miss her after 4 years. Thanks for listening...
