Comment: I 'm not a Christian Scientist and I don 't believe in any religion, but I work with 'metaphysical healing ' and am impressed by Jesus ' words: 'by your faith you are healed '. In my experience Christian Scientists seek only that - but they don 't push it onto anyone who doesn 't want it. They 've helped me a great deal and I love their sincerity and strength of belief!

Comment: Thank you for this website. I would like to observe that for those who feel they have seen no negative side to CS they are either observing liberal CSs (who are therefore not following the teachings as Mrs Eddy would have them) or they have not yet seen a situation that needs medical help - the refusal of which causes great suffering. There are testimonies enough to very faithful CSs who have suffered greatly because, despite doing all they should, Christian Science has failed them.

Comment: Stumbled upon the testimonial from ex-C.S'ist named Kathy and it seems to me that the problems in her life, tragic and sad though they were, weren't caused by Christian Science but by her mother who, she freely admits, had mental difficulties. Guess it's easier to blame a religious doctrine than the person misapplying it. Her mother's behaviors are not characteristic of any C.S'ist I've ever known and I've known a lot of them. Interesting website, though.

Comment: Our memories are very similar. Thank you for your testimony. I 've just discovered this web site and have been urged by the Holy Spirit to write a testimony. It may take some time, but I believe as God says in His word that He loves me and that He wants me to be healed spiritually more than physically. He wants us to be free!

Comment: My mother is a proponent of Christian Science, although she accepts medical treatment and is not active in the church. It is a frequent source of tension, as she urges me to rely on Christian Science, even as she continues taking per prescriptions!
Mark Twain wrote an amazing biography of Mary Baker Eddy that is a great read and very informative. He predicted that if Christian Science and its healings continued to grow at the same rate (as claimed over a hundred years ago) everyone would

Comment: When, in Nov 2002, my brother and I visited our mother, who had been two days at Whitehaven CSc. nursing home, we found her acutely ill & in great pain. Staff had not contacted us, and we found the heating off & the window open. Our mother decided to go to hospital, but died two weeks later. The Nat. Care Standards Commission investigated, & made many recommendations. Whitehaven denied that the heating was off. What are your experiences of CSc. nursing homes. Get in touch.

Comment: With reference to the last message - you have obviously been blessed with good health and you have not needed to try and use CS in extremity!Freedom from sickness does not in itself prove the validity of CS.

Comment: Let me just say that Christian Science has always worked for me throughout my life; the worst disease I have ever seemed to have was a mild flu, and the longest it ever lasted was a few days. I have never had any shots, immunizations, or anything similar. Neither have my numerous family members. We have no problem with our methods of healing.
