Comment: A interesting site for someone that hasn't seen Finchley since 1969.
Any history buffs out there? Could anyone tell me any thing about a printing company back in the 1940 era called Charles Orchard & Co.?
My dad worked there and it was in High Street. Would be great to find some photo's and history about the place.

Comment: Wow- great flicking thru the pics and reading abt Finchley. I lived in East Finchley (first at Fortis Green then to Bedford Road) with my parents n brother from 1986 - 1990. My brother and I went to St Martins then to Finchley Manorhill (now Comptons???). Returned home to Fiji in '90. Wondering if anyone knows of whereabts of Caroline Taggart, Jason Gaunt, Kelly Crowder, and others who were at M 'hill '86- '90. Hi to the Asghars (Saba, Shahzad)- if they 're still on Bedford Rd.

Comment: I am researching family history, my grandparents Albert Heathfield & Lily Heathfield formerly Watts lived I believe in the roads around Huntingdon Road etc. Does anybody out there have any address information etc. My father Albert Heathfield died in 1955. Any info would be much appreciated. A healthy & prosperous year to all East Finchley Residents.

Comment: Am an old East Finchley resident...(old...am only 17!!) You may remember my parents...Ron & Annette Horn - they ran See More Travel (a coach company)? Anyways, this is just a quick message to say that although we're living in Australia now, we still like to catch up with all the goings on in East Finchley by reading The Archer online...keep it going, its great!!
