Comment: Looking for a George E. and Mary Elizabeth (Donoho) Martin married 1878 Marion County, Illinois. May have had sons Edward and Fred. May have moved to Texas. Can`t find them after their marriage.

Comment: I am adescendant of a giles martin@1796 in edgefield district s.c. This district is on the saluda and broad rivers and is very much part of the peoples of the dutch fork. I live in columbia s.c. and have astrong desire to find the ancestors of this giles.It has been said that he was of german descent...do you know anything of this family?He married Nancy Coleman,and was very active in Salem Baptist Church.He was highly educated and was aleader in the community .

Comment: I have been researching my mother's family from Charleston/Germany. names ; Albers, Buck, Miller, Steenken.
Please tell me if you know of ships lists to Charleston 1845-49. My Grandfather was Henry Steenken and he arrived at that time to Charleston but I don't know if that's where he arrived in the U. S.

As you know, my wife, Barbara (Smith) Taylor, is a descendant in the Martin family through her great, great grandmother, Mariah Martin, Wife of John Adam Summer.
