Comment: Hi, This is a useful site. I logged on to look for a source for an easily portable communication device or book system that can be attached to a walker which is open in the front. It needs to be rigid, not floppy, so that a student who is very spastic can indicate choices with one hand while hoding on to the walker with the other hand. It also needs to be large enough to be easily seen, as he is also visually impaired.
Thanks for any help you can provide,
Nancy Johnson, Teacher of the Vi

Comment: I loved your ideas! I heard a great idea from a parent this fall and I am going to try it after I make some purchases at Target. Here we go for all the students with limited verbalization skills and rather than always using the notebook to communicate to and from home and school...Try purhcasing a cheap ($30 or so) dictaphone to record messages to and from home and school. I added that it would be great for all the kids who can't read, so they can hear the message and repeat it many, many tim
