Comment: I am a resident in Haxey, the dad of a pupil at the school where i work in Doncaster has done a mural in The Loco of the Hood, he has just shown me what looks like a print of it, it's fantastic, Dale Alan Scott all the boggins look really true to life. Will the print be available to buy i wonder, or will we just have to have a one too many in the Loco appreciating the art work!!!

Comment: Hi
I heard Dale being interviewed on the radio. A great tradition, and fantastic to think that they were doing it when my ancestors were living in Messingham.

Comment: We're going for our first look at Haxey Hood today and are very much looking forward to it. Been meaning to go along for about three years now.
The PC explanation of the story looks like nonsense to me; surely it was more likely to have been a pagan fertility right, rather than some lass dropping her hat?
Thanks for the advice about not parking on the High Street!

Comment: Hi, a group of students are incorporating the event of Haxey's Hood into a skit for competition. Would you be able to answer questions for them as they arrive?

Comment: Hi Adam
Just to say that I liked your website, looks like you put a lot of work into it. As you can see by my e-mail address, I was landlord of 'The Kings' for a couple of years and have held the Hood for a year, hung up behind the bar. We still come up to Haxey to see friends etc, living in Nottingham now with a proper job. Congratulations to Mark at 'The Duke'! Cheers!!
