Comment: My late father, who changed his name after naturalisation came to the UK in 1945 (Polish 2nd Corp). He was born Eugeniusz Kowaluk in Ponikowica in 1921. I am delighted with the depth of information and will read a lot further.

Byl pod oficerem w batalionie KOP (Korpus Ochrony Pogranicza) w Suwalkach, od 1939 w Budslawiu. Zona Jadwiga Gawkowska (Ur.1906,slub1929 w Lomzy). Od 4/1940 do 5/1946 z trojgiem dzieci w ZSSR (Pólnocny Kazachstan, wsie Ukrainka i Kalugino kolo Mamlutki i Pietropawlowska).

I don't know if you remember corresponding with me previously. I had tried to find a couple books for you - no luck ever.
I am now working on my 2nd book on the Catholics of the USSR,, which of course includes the Polish Roman Catholics of the Kresy region who remained behind after the 1946-48 deportations and the Greek Catholics.
Would it be possible to use some of the photos from your web site for the book?
Would you have any pictures of the Dominican monast
