Comment: Congratulations on your excellent web-site. I lived in Holly Cottage, Chapel Lane, next to Rook Farm, (now replaced by a modern house) from 1943 to 1949 and attended the local school where I made many friends and have a lot of happy memories of the village. I have an 1841 coloured plan of the village on my wall.Could you please inform me where I can obtain a copy of the village history. Many thanks.

Comment: A lovely informative site. Wondering if there's anyone in the village remembers keeping dogs in days before vets, vaccinations and petfood became the norm? The following link is where I'm placing the info. http://anubys.bravejournal.com/entry/15500

Comment: I see on ITV local news that the man who writes the Wallace and Gromit storylines lives in Oldbury on Severn. That 's great. You must be proud of him.

Comment: Hi there! Love the site!
I lived in Oldbury for a few years in high school. Many fond memories! We were in Sheep Dip Cottage (Alpha Cottage) on pickedmoore lane. My Mum worked at the school. My first job was in the Anchor. I ran in the first Oldbury Fun Run (I wonder if the Smiths are still in Oldbury and how they're doing?)
I have many good memories from Oldbury! We're planning a visit for the summer of 2006. I want my husband and son to see where i grew up. See you
