Comment: Fondest memoirs, thats the wonder of D.G., I really miss those wonderful days. Lot's of my friends are still in the island. Merz Mallari, Vicky Cruz,and the rest of the guys, they really love the island. I think they've been there for about 23 years or so..L like to visit again if given the chance.. Luv you guys...

Comment: I was stationed on the island during the first gulf war. I have many memories of the island and tent city where I spent my time. Out of all my memories I think the first night the buffs pulled out to start the boombing campain will always be etched in my mind. Spots 1-20 alternating buffs pulling out and the oarge crowd of maintainers and support waving and cheering them on.

Comment: I was one of the first women on the island there was total of 50 of us. I was stationed there from Oct 0f 82 to Oct of 83. I was a postal clerk (Last name then was Kimberlin). I've never worked so hard nor played so hard in all of my life. What an incredibly beautiful place. Met some wonderful people while there. If anyone remembers me please feel free to email me.

Comment: BUCN on DG with MCB4 73-74 Delta co at Comcenter and BOQs and enlisted barracks doing finish work.Built the hand ball courts on off hrs for another activity and had foosball at our hooch ***ed off a lot of people with our late night games.

Comment: Living in that small island is one of my fondest memory living outside my home country for 2years(jul2004-2006)..life in diego is very simple and almost evrything is free..hehehe..i miss all may kababayan there and friends..i hope one day i can comeback there just for a day or 2...i miss the food(giniling ng pangarap etc.....
