Comment: Hi, I need to know which way the piston goes in a 1975 xl350 there is a groove cut in it and a triangle stamped in it if you use the triangle as an arrow it points towards the groove in the piston. (Exhaust side or intake side?) thanks

Comment: what a hopeless site! nothing to instruct anew user how to post! Asking me to create anew community, what the hell is a community? I just want to get info on my xl and talk to other owners, I 'm no internet geek. but the people who construct these sites seem to expect that I will be.

Comment: I had a '72 back in '73. I did flat tracking with the Powroll piston, cam and pipe (Supertrapp?)in the Philippines. Always got beat by another XL250. It was always between he (Air Force) and I (Navy). I just found another '75 XL 250 (roadside spec) for $35.00. Back to a project bike. I already threw thew the points away and replaced them with a chip module from tthe chain saw shop. Hey it works better for $20.00. I am glad to have it.
