Comment: Absolutely briliant site. I too live in Sheffield and I had LASIK two weeks ago at Boots in Leeds. I was fascinated by the progress reports and the video was just amazing; now I know just what they did. after my first check up, I was told I am 6/6 binocularly. My right eye has no prescripton and my left eye is -0.75, although I am hoping this will get improve. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Comment: Very informative, thinking about having it done locally at a clinic with a ladarvision machine - supposedly the latest and greatest. In the US Navy, previously stationed at RAF St Mawgan in Newquay (1996-98)

Comment: Thanks loads for this site - i must admit i now have some real reservations because whilst you say you're 95% happy i'm not sure if the LASIK procedure is a real medical breakthrough because it seems most people suffer from this haze or bluurring. In all honesty do you recommend i have this surgery?

Comment: Well done on your website Phil, this is a very good idea of yours, I have been directing my friends to it who are thinking of the treatment, I had mine done last Tues 14 May and am still getting a bit freaked out by the blurring, I am sure it will settle down though. Keep up the good work with the site, it's excellent, Salena

Comment: Hello, I had my eye srgery in August 2001 at Ultralase in Hammersmith. You might say it has been a huge success, I can read all 6 lines with my right eye and 5/6 with my left. It was a worry for the first month or so, due to occassional blurring and some soreness(as you might expect). Everything is fine now, and having worn glasses for 20 years I am very , very happy to have had it done. Your website is very good indeed, I enjoyed the shot of you in your eye shields the most. I ripped mine off i

Comment: An interesting read.

I had my eyes LASIK'd on 25-04-02 at Ultralase in Birmingham. The following morning I drove to my check up, the next day I played golf and on Sunday I drove to Goodison Park to watch my team get beat! But I could read the players names on the back of their shirts!

It is a fantastic procedure and now I can read the bottom line of the chart independantly with each eye! 6/5 I think?

Thanks
