Jerry McMurray. Trout had just came around with
3 very junior 3rd class Radiomen. They got an
outstanding onS2C. Good crew,lots of fun.Rick Rowe was My friend.Wiil try to make it in '09

Comment: 06-19-08 1500-Hobe Sound Florida: Heard a USCG communication on VHF calling frequency today. CG was hailing a towboat asking for last port of call, next port of call etc. Next question was what the name of the vessel in tow is. The proud reply came back "USS Trout" from the towboat's bridge. The next port of call is reported to be in Texas - which, as I study the web site update, confirms the sad fate pending her. She's riding the Gulf Stream off Florida today. Comment: Contrary to some reports, TROUT is still berthed in back channel at Phila Navy Yard and has not been towed away to be s***ed.
