Comment: Many don't seem to realize that NASA and Scientists that are serious never commit themselves to anything until the proof actually hits them. This is the way it should be. Mars is fascinating and while I believe the planet is alive, and some life (microbes) may be there, I await the "Hitting" proof. I hope it happens in my lifetime! Thanks for the pictures.

Comment: Greg, the sites (this one and martianspiders) contain some pretty interesting stuff. One thing though, the pages are pretty... well... they're not pretty at all. In fact they really remind me of the web the week after html was invented.
Not meant to be a mean comment, just a constructive criticism. I guarantee if your sites had a more professional look you would get more visitors to stay longer than 3-5 seconds.

Comment: Greg: are you ok? e-mail bounces; guestbook at martianspiders seems unresponsive. What's up? Hey: there are hints that Opportunity may have landed in a "petrified forest": many of those thin flat rocks seem to have shrunk! They also look like wood, in various stages of decomposition, complete with wood fungus: look at http://homepage.mac.com/ttelos/BioMars/OrganisMER/M123WoodFungus.jpg for example.

Comment: Ziggy played guitar, jamming good with Weird and Gilly
And The spiders from Mars, he played it left hand
But made it too far
Became the special man, then we were Ziggy's band
Ziggy really sang, screwed up eyes and screwed down hairdo
Like some cat from Japan, he could lick 'em by smiling
He could leave 'em to hang
Came on so loaded man, well hung and snow white tan
So where were the spiders
While the rats tried to break our balls
Just the beer

Comment: How can pictures like these be kept from the news media? Have you ever seen them on the front page of a major newspaper? Nova? National Geograhic? Discovery? What kind of US$820M "science" mission seeks out a landing site based on best prospects for finding traces of water, photographs what looks like mud, and then moves away, without ever applying any instrument (e.g. microscope) to it? [ http://www.space.com/missionlaunches/spirit_gusev_040116.html ] How can we motivate the general public?

Comment: Was visited by alains back in 1993 and they did this whole trip and sort of led me to believe I was taken to another planet, but that is not for shure since they did a lot of stuff, and spoke in symbologic ways. Anyway ..here it is: http://jeeze1999.00sf.com
