Comment: I would like to get WordStar for Windows. My operating system is Windows98.

I have used WordStar for DOS for many years, and loved it. I presently don't have any Word processing program on my reconditioned computer.

I was thinking about loading WS for DOS on my computer, but I con't locate my old floppy disks. My Computer can read CD-ROM disks.

Comment: i have huge printing problems with wordstar 2000(dos) ver. 2.2 french and brother hl-8e or hp laserjet III. the french signs will be ignored.
i have used both drivers(from this forum)ws2prn1.pdb. brother hl-6v is working. if i use hl-8e i need not change the driver(laserjet II-emulation. i think the problems are in the printer. i have loaded the french character, what can i do else, try out all scalable fonts. the lines in the document come as letter.BTW: i cannot find the installation menu

Comment: I've used WordStar 3.0 for CP/M and liked it. WordPerfect 5.1 for DOS drove me nuts, and WordPerfect 5.1 for Windows was only slightly better. MS Word seems to get buggier and slower with each succeeding version (6.0 to Office 97 to Word 2000). Give me WordStar 2.0 any day!

Do you know where I can buy a copy of WordStar for Windows?

I have been using WS4 and its earlier versions since 19 November 1982.

I have some other questions, but I can ask them later.

Thanks so much

Comment: Istill use wordstar professional 4.0 ( dos) as my
text editor. It only supports up to the laserjet +
and not the 2 or 3 ( too much to hope for as the
3 has built-in scalable fonts)
However wordstar did offer a free disk to
support the laserjet series II .
I have been looking for this disk for a while.
since it was a "freebe" I believe it could be
copied and sent to whoever wanted it.
(( possibly 3 of us still using ws4!!!)
