When I actually stop to think about what kind of person it takes to be able to follow through with a trip like that (and other things that you do as well!), I realize that you have a Buddha spirit! Out of anyone I know, you have the most Buddha spirit, and you're not even Buddhist! That's the ultimate compliment from my end, way to go Sean!

Comment: Sounds like a good ride. I've done Vancouver to Calgary 3 times (might try again this summer) and smiled while reading your story. Only difference is we use a credit card instead of a tent and sleeping bag. Fun, though, eh? Congrats to you. I encourage anyone who's thinking of trying.

By the way while I was surfing on this topic I ran across the Guiness Book record holder - Erik Staarup's web page - he crossed Canada in 27 days - avg 262 km/ day. Check it out.
