Comment: Just received a copy of the USS CHOPPER ASSOCIATION NEWS letter. I didn't know it existed til now. It sure has brought back fond memories of my time in the Navy and most of all the time I spent on board the CHOPPER.The photos are terrific.I'm looking forward to hearing from any old shipmates.

Comment: Served aboard Chopper '59-'60. Left to go to diver's training. ( Seems I spent the whole hitch underwater!) Joined the USArmy after being out for a long time. Retired 1st Sgt. Thanks for the complimentary copy, Pat. I'm planning on joining soon. I'm glad to see Dale Bealepictured. I wonder if he remembers me. I worked in the engine gang under Joe Osterman. Comment: Great job Pat. Always appreciate more pictures and information from our Glory Days in Key West. Still looking for that picture of the Gate Bars Old Betty. Hey Steamboat, don't forget I was the topside watch aboard the Balao, 0000-0400, that fateful morning in October. How many more topside watches can we find from that day and time?

Comment: Great web page Pat. We need a picture of you on topside watch on Chopper, and me on Atule when the s88t hit the fan over the Cuban missle crisses. Though the picture we have in our mind's eye is probably much more vivid! Keep up the good work. Awsome sailing lists.
