Comment: I have now cleaned my Machine completely with the very latest edition of Norton Antivirus 2002 so all should be well now and in future - with vigilance.

Comment: Thanks for your response with reference to the virus which I transmitted to you - completely inadvertently. The first- and the only time - I hope - that I have been caught out!
I have identified the virus as W32.Sircam.Worm@mm.
Yes, I did open one of 166 Emails without sufficient attention on return from Holiday a couple of days ago.
I have now cleaned my Machine completely with the very lates
