Comments: My brother and I just finished replacing the torque amplifier in our 400. It's our baling tractor, will be needing it in another month. Can you tell me what a new crankshaft or good used one will cost me. When we had the tractor split apart we replaced the rear main seal, and took down 2 crankshaft caps and plastigauged them. Looks like someone shimmed the bearings with copper shim. Anyhow, the rear bearing is marginal. A local engine specialist suggested regrinding entire crank. I was just wond

Comments: I have worked for my uncle on his farm in south central Iowa when I was younger. My uncle had the 350 with T/A (Torque Amplifier), Super M with T/A and also a Super H. All three of these tractors did an excellent job for him. My father bought a Farmall B in 1968 or 69 and it probably hasn't had 100 hours on it since he bought it. I would like to put a belly mower on it and start using it to mow his lawn. Some-day maybe.

Comments: Brian, love your site! I have a question. Are there different variations of red paint used on Farmalls? I love the deep looking red on the super A on the 2nd page of your pictures. Do I get the paint at an auto Dupont paint store? What kind of paint? And the color nunbers ,if you can find out I would appreciate it! Oh before I forget, is there anything on the primer I need to know?? Thanks Brian , have a good one. Im from Michigan.

Comments: Brian, I'm not to familiar with farmall tractors, but one is for sale locally and I thought I would take a look. It is a 1953 cub in running conditionn with a rebuilt engine and a mower deck, which I certainly could put to good use. Asking price is $1500. Is the cub a collectible<? And does the price sound right ? A nything I should be aware of? If you have time to answer I would be grateful. Thankyou Terry

Comments: Brian,
I really enjoyed your site. I also noticed that your H has the second "starting" gasoline tank that was used on the low compresion gasoline/distillate engines. I am currently working on a 1940 H (#41459) that is missing that tank, the manifold heat gaurd, and others. I'm also having problems rebuilding the engine to original specs. Do you have any advice? Your help would greatly be appreciated.

Comments: Just cleared the old Massey Harris Diesel 55 out of the shed to make room for the new addition of a Farmall A (1945 model). It includes the vacuum lift (pre hydraulic) three point linkage system. Im stoked about it over here in Australia
