Comment: Good, well put together site. I was going to but a RH 7 kit but couldn't get the money together + I didn't like the construction (too heavy) and opted to plan build a Formula 27. I'm quite glad I did now!!!

Comment: Your artical is extremely practical and has rminded me of all those things that i was glossing over in my mind. I am hoping to build a version this winter 99/00 and have a volvo 240 ready to try and a promise of a siera if needed. As a 17 stone weekling it would be nice to check that i can actually fit in the finished version. Do you have the dimensions of the drivers slot please?

Comment: Why do I find my self reading about trials of RH building similar web wide. We have all had similar problems and are all generally miffed with RHE. I wish I had spoken to people a lot more and visited websites like yours before building my S IIIa

Great site and good info. Hope the machine runs well

Comment: Like you, I too have serious reservations about the kits. I think it's a good idea, but the back up is cr*p. I have spent several hours on the phone to Richard Stewart, usually with the final answer of 'if you find out how to do it let me know'!!. Yeah, sure. I have also had similar problems with quality. Holes that are not millimetres out, but in one instance 5 centimetres. On the plus side I have now learnt a whole new set of skills, ie auto-electrician (6 weeks of sheer hell), welder, metal-b

Comment: Hi Sean interesting page. I've built a Robin Hood Exmo and was unimpressed with the "kit package"
There's definately a lot left to your imagination, just keep plugging away and all will come good in the end.

Comment: Well, I like you am struggling to build my RH7, but I bought it in 1995! I think it is fair to say that the Robin Hood is pretty and should be a lot of fun when it's finished (6 months! Honest!!) but as for the engineering / design behind it.. well, the phrase 'pile of poo' leaps to mind....
Good luck and go to it!
