Comment: I have friends that live in Biggin Hill and I was curious about the area,it's, as you say, lovely. I also viewed it on Google Earth. I live in Florida, USA. One of these days we're going to visit.

Comment: I have lived in Biggin Hill for the last 37 years having moved here when I was 7. Your web site is fantastic. I could say it brought back lots of memories but fortunately I am not that old yet.

Comment: What a wonderful site! Thank you. it has brought a lot of happy memories flooding back. Lived in Married Quaters between 1965 and 1973; with my father David(Taff), Mother Margaret and brother Colin. I remember sunday school at the Red Shield Club, and choir at St. Georges Chapel. The Control Tower was school until Biggin Hill Primary (which I believe has now moved).

Comment: I served at RAF Biggin Hill in the late 1960's

Comment: I was born at lily dene sutherland avenue,in august 1937.My mother was Daisy May nee Ward.She had a sister Ivy.My Grandad Ward I believe was a Builder,and actually built Lily dene.I visited Biggin Hill in the early 80,s.and the people next door remembered me.Does anybody have any information on the Ward family?.

Comment: really interesting to read, i lived in biggin hill with my sister vivien, mum and dad were very well known bill & vicky Relph lived in edward road, dad was an airframe fitter at the airport mum worked for the raf for many years. Mum and dad moved to herne bay in 1966 and started a guest house, but they still held Biggin Hill very fondly in there hearts

Comment: What a great site. My great uncle William Davies and his wife Davina lived at Maytrees, Main Road, Biggin Hill, from the 1930s. One of their daughters married an airman from RAF Biggin Hill in early 1940. At some time after the war our family lost contact with William. Would be grateful if anyone can tell me the location of Maytrees and if the family are remembered in the village.
