Comment: I was at Tibbenham November, 1943 to Jan 5, 1944. CoPilot for B-24 The Gremlins Roost. Shot down over N.Sea, captured and POW until end of WWII. Since returning to Missouri in 1945 I've stayed here most of the time. I haven't looked at this site yet but intend to in detail in the near future. For some reason the history that was written about the 445th did not include my name or record. I joined the 445th at Sioux city, Iow

Comment: My father was part of the 445th. Thanks for your
page. It gives me additional insight to his war
years. Were the bells ringing during 1944-45?

Comment: Hello,
I'm trying to find out about my distant
relatives who came from Tibenham. Particularly
the brothers/sisters and parents of James Cooper
who married Hannah Seager around 1840. They had a
number of children at least 5, the oldest being
Honor Cooper born 1865 and the youngest Fred
Cooper born August 1880. Any information
would be appreciated. Also can any one tell me
where Tibenham Green is located? Best regards,

Comment: Greetings from the colonies. My Father flew out of Tibenham in 1944-45 with the 445th BG. His name was Jack Strickland. He was killed on March 24, 1945 supporting troops crossing the Rhine. My Mother visited Tibenham last year. She has written a book called Red Roses and Silver Wings. It's about the war years and features many of my Father's wartime letters from Tibenham. Her name is Kitty Shore, and she may be reached at www.aampress.com.
