Comment: i am thinking of attemping the three peaks challenge myself and find your site very interesting and above all very useful for my planning. i have already climbed snowdon aswell as ben nevis but the paek district is new to me. apart from the great advice given in this website is there any other adive on the peak district that you think will help me.

Comment: My friend and I did the 3-peaks on the 7th of May 1999 on our mountain bikes, strapping them to our rucksacks on the way up and riding them down.It took 21hrs 28 min.Bad traffic in the Lakes added nearly 2hrs to our time.We set off from Beverley E.Yorks after finishing work on the Friday started without any sleep and then drove back from bottom of snowdon!If I did it I'd do it again I'd use a faster car (only saw 140 on the speedo a few times) and I'd do it mid-week to try and avoid the traffic.
