Comment: Hi, I came accross your page whilst looking at stuff about kidderminster (my home town). I am a decendant of the Davies family that used to live in Alverly and my Dad has told me all about his relatives who used to live there. The house they lived in was called the Cleckers (or something similar). Please let me know if you have any info on our family and I shall pass it onto my father.
Thanks

Comment: I am researching the names WATERS/WATTERS/WALTERS from Clee St Margaret, Shropshire. My 3xGt grandfather William WATTERS married Marrianne GROVE from Alveley on 22/5/1826. Is anyone researching these families?

Comment: Dear Margaret
As you know we have been researching the Massey's from the area around Alveley. I do like your web site,it seems to be growing all the time.
If any of your visting guest book hordes have an interest in the Massey family from Astley Abbots, Stottesden, and Chorley, 1650 till 1875 they could let me know. My wife's great grandfather was the village blacksmith in Alveley and also a lay preacher at the Primitive Methodist Chapel, which is still there. We often visit the area to

Comment: Lovely Homepage! I believe that I have a tie to the Village of Alveley through my Harley line.
Samuel Harley, baptized at Alveley in 1760, is very likely my ancestor.
