Comment: Just wanted to put in a good word for Shorty. I manage a women's *** djembe band that travels the southeast. On a recent trip through Florida, Shorty went out of his way to do tuneups and repairs for the band members. He even graciously offered some space for the band to spend a few days. We do about 200 circles a year and the traveling gets tough. Great service and the girls loved him !

I ordered a replacement skin for my Ghana drum last year and I finally got my hands on it after it got stuck lying around with a friend.
The drum is finally re-skinned and I took it out to a circle yesterday. I loved it and so did everyone else.

Comment: We bought our son a djembe for Christmas '99 and he played the heck out of it until recently (feb. 2008)when it split - lasted 9 years! Best Christmas gift ever given and rec'd when it arrived on Christmas Morn as promised. He is on an album 'Wendy Nichol' - one of many accomplishments with the djembe.
