Comment: Wow, what a great site! I have had a Woodsman since 1975, having grown up envious of my Grandfather's match target model. Thank you for providing this priceless source of information.

Comment: A very interesting sight, but the match target Woodsman, was rarely used in competition on Long Island. We used generally used High-Standards and Rugers (which at first were all modified) with a bull barrel and triger work;

Comment: Dear Sirs,Greatly enjoyed looking at your collection. I'm personaly in love with the Woodsman myself. Would like to find good 2nd issue match target 4.5 to use. I have 2nd issue sport 4.5 I would be willing to trade on.It was made in 1951 & has grip adapters but that's all. It's about 90% & gets shot ever chance I get. Would like to trade on above match target in same shape. Thank you, Michael, Woodsman lover

Comment: I'm buying the MT from Russ Haydon. I'm a collector like you. What would you advise as to fixing the bad side ? I understand there are people who could do it and not touch the rest of the gun with a perfect match.
