Comment: I found in the archives of Ontario the provisional agreement between the crown and the Chippeway Indinas for Pentetenguishing Habour, 19 May, 1795.
The signatures by the Indian witnesses were by marks, and the marks were pictures of animals:deer, lizard , horse and fish. Besides the picutres there is the interpretation of each of the names.
Beccause the signatures and the interpretations were, of course,

Comment: I had studied Alfred Noyes 'The Highwayman' a few years ago but the prescribed portion of the poem did not have a few stanzas in it. Ever since I had asked several people to lend me a copy of the poem if they had it with them and had even searched the net a number of times but had not come across a site containing the poem. Today when I read the whole poem, I was absolutely delighted,estatic and overwhelmed.I can but thank you...

Comment: thank you. i haven't read this since i was a little boy in ww2. mother would read to us all the time during the night when dad was working. there were 3 of us children so dad was exempt from combat. however he served as a civilian in war time needs and of course was gone nights. there was no tv only radio and news papers. but as children what did we know? to me the books including other subjects as winken, blinken and nod and others were our source of entertainment. when mother read the poem, li
