Comment: There's been a lot of progress since I camped there several years ago. It's a very good base camp for berry picking and mushrooming. I would not hesitate to recommend it for small/medium sized gatherings and events, because it can now handle groups whose members range from those who like to sleep on the ground to those whose idea of roughing it is Motel 6. I wish I could put together a plant/mushroom event there, but insurance coverage is an issue.

Comment: We just spent the weekend at Abrams Creek with a group of family members. We were in three of the small cabins. I had driven by the campground several times for work and am now glad that we finally stayed there. The place is beautiful. The constant sound of the stream is relaxing, and there was still good water flow despite there not being any substantial rain in weeks. A good time was had by all, and we will return.

Comment: I just spent another relaxing, peaceful weekend at Abram's Creek. I paid a visit to Blackwater Falls and Davis, and ate at Hellbender's Burritos. Their burritos are fabulous. If there is a better place for burritos, enchiladas, etc. nearby, I'd sure like to know about it.

Comment: My friend Rick and I stayed in the lodgehouse for 3 weeks during the outage at Dominion Power Plant, near Mt. Storm, in May. We found our stay to be very rewarding, the rates very affordable and the owner Vince, Edgar and Cecil and Edgar's cat very friendly. I met a lot of other interesting people there too. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking to get away from life for a while. It's definately a great place to spend the weekend or to just relax for a while.
Yes! I'll go back!!

Comment: Abram's Creek is one of the best camp grounds relatively close to Western PA. Vince and Cesar are great hosts and even cooked lunch for me and a friend during our visit..at no charge!!! The drive down from Pittsburgh is beautiful and really enjoyable; lots of great scenery once you're off the highway. Also, Cesar conducted a Sweat Lodge that we attended that was awesome! I'd really recommend everyone check it out if they have a chance. I'll be down there a lot this summer:-)

Comment: From the first day I visited Abrams Creek, even before it was open for business, I fell in love with the place. It is an almost magical location, with so much to do nearby. Thank you, Vince, for taking the time in developing this wonderful place into a great campsite. Keep up the excellent work!
