Comment: This is for Dan in the UK regarding that mysterious artifact. There is no way at this stage that we can tell if it genuine. However, there is a good chance that it might be. After attending a whole bunch of concerts (May 1983) in NY - OH - MI - IN we parted with Roger in South Bend IN on June 1st when he flew to Chicago to continue the tour. So, Roger was certainly in the midwest US in June 1983! Anything is possible. At that time he lived in the UK a few miles NW of Stansted Airport!

My father-in-law recently came across a plaque with "key to the city jail" presented to Roger Whittaker by "The music city sheriff Fate Thomas June 1983." Comment: Hello Hello! Last post today I promice. In my previous posts I mentioned a live album belonging to my parents. The picture was of Roger on a stool with his guitar on a deep blue background, he was singled out with a white spotlight. The performances included "Durham Towm" "Why?" "African Whistler" "The Last Farewll" "I Don't Believe in 'If' Anymore" "Dirty Old Town" and I would love, LOVE LOVE to have a copy of that. Any help gratefully received. Thank you!!

Comment: Hello - can I call you Roger? I love your music, have done so forever... I'm 29 now, and can hear your voice - which is beautiful - when I close my eyes & think of it. My parents had a live album on tape, we wore it out about 20 years ago! Just to say thank you, to you and yours, for standing up and singing! (and whistling, and playing the guitar... for durham town! I've never been there - I think you put me off).
