Comment: More times than not it isn't the person in the ring it is also those who you surround yourself with and the nod most certainly goes to Taylor. From one of the best trainers ever to live in Manny to his entourage of advisors. JT will be very ready for this fight as his people will be.

Not only did he win the 2000 Olympic Bronze Medal (which Pavlik wasn't even close to accomplishing), he has also fought "notable" and "proven" fighters in taking on former three time World Middleweight Champion William Joppy (34-4-1, 25 KO's), devastating TKO victory of previously unbeaten Daniel Edouard, Hopkins, the list could go on and on but "why"? Comment: II- If Jack Lowe and company really wanted to step up the compe***ion he could have gotten Pavlik the "better fights" which he decided not to do and I would be willing to wager that it will indeed show come Sept. 29th. You are only as good (or bad) as your compe***ion, JT has no reason or past history to duck Pavik of all fighters. Taylor will be ready for this man and has no reason to "doubt" his own accomplishments.

We are going to have to agree to disagree on the amateur fights and the "resumes" of both boxers. IMHO Taylor has gone the rounds, knows exactly what to do and when, and he has the best trainer in Manny who will likely be able to pick apart Pavlik piece by piece long before these two even step into the ring. Comment: One other thing about the amatuer fights you keep talking about JM I realize they mean something my point was there is a difference between a 21 year old man and a 17 year old young man.Big difference like college football seniors versus high school football seniors.Also these men will not be wearing HEADGEAR does that make a difference? That amatuer fight to me means nothing other that motivation for Pavlik

Comment: Got to agree with you show on the prior compe***ion issue also why Pavlik didn't fight better fighters(like Taylor also) is because no one is going to fight a up and comer with a 80+% knockout ratio unless it is for the big bucks.Taylor had the same issue till he got to fight hopkins and got his breakthrough.JM you are a obvious fight fan this should make some sense to you also.Now that Pavlik has a name because of HBO we get to see how he'll do against a champ.I think he will do quite well.
