Comment: Although I did not know your Uncle,I was with K-3-3 in the Bougainville campaign. I enlisted on November 12, 1943, went through Parris Island, SC and then to NC and San Diego to American Samoa for jungle training. Then to New Zealand and up to Guadalcanal, then to New Herbedies for landing excercises for the landings on Bougainville on November 1, 1943. Came off the island on Xmas day 1943 and returned to our encampment on Guadalcanal.

Comment: I created this site hoping to find people who can tell me about my uncle. So far it's been a slow quest, but I'm not giving up. I found some school friends of his, who graciously shared what they could with me. I recently found out my father found my uncle's girlfriend from the time he entered the service. We have yet to talk face to face with her, but I do look forward to it. Anyway, if you haven't signed the guest book, feel free, I look forward to hearing about your search for information.
