We were with what we called the "Rome Plow Company" from Banmethout to the Cambodian border. We used so much C-4 that Capt. Wright would often question us about it (but it got us back to Banmethout once in a while). I remember Sgt Sheeler was the Top and also remember how the rains would fill up our home made hootches so that even footlo

Comment: Great articles about the land clearing of QL19 from An Khe to Pleiku. Never drove threw the Mang Yang or An Khe passes as I had the luxury of flying over them, but apprciated the widening that took place prior to my arrival. I was stationed in Camp Holloway in Pleiku 5/70 - 5/71 with the 189th AHC "Ghostriders." I am looking for photographs of the Small Obelisk commenorating the Groupment Mobile 100 from the June 24, 1954 action, or photos of the French graves. Please forward if you know of any

Comment: I was in 538th when it was 35th and just a "TEAM"
We cleared a lot of jungle, took a lot of chances, and had a ball. We were Army but seeing us you would have never known it.No shaving, very few haircuts, and boots that never saw a shine.
We carried every kind of gun, from a colt 357,to a M-1.We were noticed when we came into basecamp......
Thank you Roger and Pat for the great job you did on this site......

Comment: Neat site, too bad all my photos but one were destroyed. See you in June, hopefully a familiar face will ring my bell. Was only in the unit from Dec 68 to Jan or Feb 69. A bunch of us were sent to the grunts. I went to the 1st Cav B 1st pf the 12th. I do remember the road ql 19 and were the French were wiped out.
