Comment: Hi-- my grandfather Myron Morlin was aboard the USS Utah during the pearl harbor attacks. He would tell me stories of being on the ship and his life as a sailor. I am sad to report the news that Myron Morlin went home to be with the Lord on June 15, 2007. He lost his many year long battle with parkinsons disease. May he rest in peace.
Bless everyone he served with and everyone that has served or is serving in our armed forces.

Comment: I found that my father, George E. Love, was a Seaman Second Class aboard the Utah in 1920. I am sorry I do not know the beginning and ending dates of his service dates; but, I would like to thank you for your care in keeping the USS Utah's memories alive so people like me can better understand where and how or family members served our nation. Again, thank you.

Comment: Love the history lesson. I found a menu for Thanksgiving 1940 for the Utah at an anitque store. It listed the entire crew aboard at that time. Our local historical society also has a book from 1918 about the Navy and it has two pictures of the Utah including one in heavy seas. You have a great site!
