Comment: This is a good site. I live in Utah and have always wondered what had happened to the ship on 'the day of infamy'. As a former Marine, I am interested in this type of history.

Comment: I am retired Navy, having spent over 25 years on active duty as a Radioman. Recently my wife and I visited Hawaii and took the tour that brought us to Ford Is, but unfortunately not to the Utah Memorial. I will not miss it again, should i be fortunate enough to visit Pearl Harbor again.

Comment: The Navy should Raise the USS UTAH and ARIZONA NOW. Its sinful that both of these ships have been left to rust away in the sea.

Comment: My Grandpa was Charles Paul Juptner, who served on the USS Utah and survived the attack at Pearl Harbor. I like to tell everyone his story because the irony of him being a Navy man is that he didn't know how to swim! On Dec. 7th when the Utah was hit, he was able to dog-paddle to the shore of Ford Island and watched the whole ordeal take place from it's shore.

Comment: My uncle, Karl Johnson, having survived the Pearl Harbor attack, continued to dedicate his life to the US Navy and those he served with; became President of the PHSA for some time and was a Minuteman for our country; died in service of our country and was returned to eternal duty with his shipmates in 2002. Those who rest in Pearl Harbor continue to preserve and protect our freedom, where through their unending dedication, they continue to remind us to remain ever vigilant...
