Comment: My father was shipmate Richard L. Joines. I am proud of the efforts of the Utah Association to keep the memory of the forgotten ship alive. I know that my father would be proud also. We have many pictures of that era that we are slowly going through. I will submit these to your website when I have sorted them out. thank yuo for your good work.

Comment: Great site. Was Viet Nam era sailor aboard USS CARPENTER DD-825, homeported Pearl Harbor. Our ship rarely on West side of Ford Island, but each time rendered honors as passing by Utah. Glad to see memorial for her.

Comment: My Uncle, Russell Lee Price, was on the Utah on December 7th, 1941 when it was hit. He did survive to lead a wonderful life. The family of "Uncle R.L." loved him very much and was so proud of him.

I've enjoyed reading some of the stories ... my dad, HE ROBINSON was a shipmate ... the Utah was his home from July 1936 until December 7th (5 1/2 years!) ... it's hard to imagine just how miserable that day was.
