Comment: I am Raymond Betterton niece. I grew up with my Grandmothers account of that day. It is nice to have him honored by other people besides his family. God Bless All Who Were There That Day.

Comment: I served aboard the USS Worden years ago and I remember passing by the Utah on several occaisions. We always rendered honors to her, It always made feel sad to think of the brave men still entombed in her and the Arizona.

Comment: Dove on the Utah this day of Feb. 2, 2005. A very humbling experience knowing what lies below the rusted decks of the Utah. Her power and elegance still shines...even in death.

Comment: On Sept. 28, 2004, my father ashes were scattered on the waves next to the USS Utah in a very heart moving ceremony arranged by Mr. Taylor from PHSA. I have shared the pictures and memories of this experience with many veterans in my American Legion Post in Santa Clara, California. It was the greatest honor that could have been given my father and I very thankful to the PHSA and the USS Utah Association. I know my father will now rest is peace with his brother Marines.
Thank you

Comment: I met CDR Tyndall yesterday for the first time. I would love to sit with him and talk Navy. He served from 1926-1955. He is a UTAH survivor and for 96 years old is still moving pretty strong. I mentioned that I would like to take him into the VFW in Norfolk with me but he said that was a little too far to travel from Kinston, NC at his age. This is a great website. Have a great day, Don Hutchinson, YNC(SW), Ret.
