Comment: I was stationed at Barbers Point early in my Navy career and enjoyed visiting the Arizona several times. I knew about the USS Utah on the other side of Ford Island but never had the opportunity to visit her. This past July my girlfriend and I took a trip to Oahu and had the opportunity to cross the bridge to Ford Island and visit the Utah. It was late in the afternoon/evening when we arrived and were the only ones there. It was a very moving and meaningful visit for us both.

Comment: I own a Shellback Certificate for Gunner Henry McClure, USS Utah, from 1921. Would you like a photo of it for your web site?

Comment: Great web site!
For years I have noticed the "USS Utah" hulk
marked on nautical charts. Many times I have helmed Coast Guard and NOAA ships to the Pearl Harbor fuel pier. Finally I had a chance to go see the "Utah". Wow!

Comment: I've just today found this web site, I search for military web sites. I had eight (8)brothers and a son who served in the military WW2 three brothers and five brothers from 1957 on, three served in Viet Nam, one was KIA 1ST. LT. Fred O. Pratt. my son served ten (10) years, he was with the 82nd Airborne. I love our military, for if they were not there, we would no longer be here.Woodrow Brooks Pratt( my brother ) was @ Pearl 12/1941 no one recalls the ship he was on, can you help me find out?

Comment: I lived on Ford Island in the early 60's and woke up every morning to see the USS Utah. The Arizona Memorial was new and I thought it unfair that the Utah was ignored. I am so glad to see it and those who were bound to her, get the proper recognition. Wonderful website - congratulations to you all.

Comment: I'am a highschool student and i'm doing a research on the Attack of the Pearl Harbor, and I must say the detail the USS Utah Association has is by far the best. It's wonderful to know someone cares about the history of America!!!!!!

Comment: I have been to Hawaii but never visited the USS UTAH. But, when I go back to Hawaii, I will visit the USS UTAH and other Historical Sites because of these excellent Historical Web Sites. Thanks to everyone who helped to develop these interesting and well organized Web Sites.
