Comment: Ich glaube, das der Überfall auf Pearl Harbour auf die damalige generation ebenso traumatisch wirkte, wie der 11.09.2006 auf unsere generation heute noch wirkt. Ich bin hier in " good old germany" wirklich weit ab vom geschehen, aber mir stehen heute noch die tränen in den augen wenn ich
daran denke wie ich den 11.09.2006 erlebt habe.

Comment: Did not realize that there was another ship left in the water after 7DEC41. Was on Google maps looking @ Ford Island and notice what turned out to be the USS Utah. Did a Yahoo search for "Pearl Harbor", then figured out it was the Utah, then came across this web site. Keep up the good work.

Comment: I'm currently stationed in Ford Island Naval Brig either in the mornings or evening colors I stand proud raising our Flag. I ask those to visit the memorial its part of history I salute to those who are still alive, or have past God Bless you...

Comment: My Grandfather William Earl Koering was a signalman on the Utah and was aboard when it was attacked. He told me stories about it when I was a kid but sadly passed away before I was old enough to really appreciate or remember them. I visited the Arizona memorial but was not able to get access to the Utah. I intend to go back and get access this time. My grandpa never went back to Hawaii; it was too difficult for him. He was a great man and was very proud of his time in the Navy.

Comment: I learned shortly after his death, My great=uncle had served on the Utah. Ironically, my hobby is battleships. I missed a chance to talk to a rea Battleship sailor that I was related to.

Comment: I am the grandson of Landon W Huffman Chief Machinist Mate. I recently visited the memorial in Pearl Harbor, it was truely a moment of silence in respect for those who service aboard a galliant warship. I would love to hear from other survivors and or family members. I am sad to say Grandpa passed away in 1998, 40 years after he retired in 1958 as a LtCmdr at Puget Sound Naval Ship Yard.

Comment: My father is Paul P. Joyce Retired CWO4 he is a survivor from The USS Utah. I have so many stories and am so proud of my dad and all members of the Armed Forces. God Bless Them All.
