Comment: I am writing a book called "The Men of the USS Utah". It will focus mainly on the men that were serving on the USS Utah on that fateful day, December 7, 1941. It is intended to be a memorial to all the men that served on the USS Utah at that time. I am looking for family members and the remaining survivors to locate photos and other information about these men. I am also looking for stories that can be added to each individual's page. Comment: I feel a real connection with the USS Utah- not only because I am from Utah, but on visiting Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1981, and first hearing of and seeing the remains of the USS Utah. I am always an advocate of letting more know of her. The contributions made by all those who served will ALWAYS go forward and will not be forgotten. My father served in the pacific on the USS Maryland after she was repaired. He didn't talk about it much, but I am so proud of him. He died last year.

Comment: I am a Navy Diver Chief stationed at the Dive school as an instructor on Ford Island. Every class we graduate we require the students to research and report on the events of Dec 7th to include the UTAH and I wanted to say Thank you for your service and thank you for keeping the memories and heritage of our Navy alive. It is because of people like you that these things will never be forgotten. Thanks again

Comment: My Father was a civilian worker with Martin Aircraft on that fateful day. One Uncle served in North Africa and anther landed on "bloody Omaha" with the 29th Division.
God Love the Utah for training those who would later destroy the Japanese.

Comment: My mother just died and I now have all the photo albums of my great uncle who served on Utah. He
served Vera Cruz during the Mexican Civil War in 1911.
The pictures are really neat, how can I find out
who the officers were? And any more info on the ship's involvement in the Mexican Civil War.

Comment: I'm so glad that you made a page for USS Utah. My heart is with those who fought and are fighting for our freedom and country. I would love to go to Hawaii one day. Comment: My dad, Harold Maine Keene, served aboard the USS Utah from 1927-1930. He was proud to have served aboard such a fine ship, and my mom was proud of her handsome Navy man.
