Comment: I`ve always respected DE. From the time I was a little kid. I remember hearing about "some guy" named Dale E. He came into Nascar in 79 like a force. My uncle would say" who does he think he is?". As a little kid, I was interested. Anyway, after them years, I drifted away from racing all together. I came back to Nascar in 94. Dale was still a force!! Dale from then( and earlier) was still a force to

Comment: Dale Earnhardt has been my hero since I was five years old. For thirteen years, I have wanted to be just like him. I was devastated by the tragedy. But I know that Dale died happy doing what he loved most. I know that there was no better way for him. He will always be my hero, for the Intimidator is irreplacable.

Comment: It's been more than 24 hours since I found out. It still hasn't sunk in. Before #3 became my fave, Davey Allison was my #1 driver. When he died in'93, it felt like a ball-peen hammer in the forehead. Same feeling I've had when the news bulletin of Dale's passing came in on TV last night

Comment: Dear Dale:

I have all of your toys and your sons toys. You are my favorite driver. I am sad that you are gone. That guy that made you crash didn't know that you would get hurt.

Comment: Dale died a hero...his impact on Nascar racing made the sport what it is today. His duels with Petty, Gordon, and anybody who got near him on the track made people watch. No matter who your driver was, you had to watch Earnhardt...he was a threat to win every week. He will be greatly missed...
