Comment: I have a male U. ornata that I got from a local pet store 8.5 yrs. ago. His color is bright, but was never as blue as the pictures I saw of U. ornata in "Vivarium". It was great to see John Castellanos picture of his blue-green male, which looks identical to my male. Does it mean the blue vs. green males are different sub-species or is it more like being either a blond or brunette? Where are the Ornates found in the Middle East? M. Dudley

Comment: Phylis, our mali has eaten crickets and stopped defecating. Is is possible, since she just seems to eat bird seed and peas, with supplements, and is so young (captive) 18 months. She does not know how to eat other veggies and fruits?
