Comment: Thanks... I was a Scout Dog handler (44th IPSD Vietnam'67), my dog was Rocket (still miss him). I was told that he was blown up by a land mine in '68 (his new handler was severely injured). Don't suppose anyone has any info on this? welshmage@yahoo.com

Comment: Thank you so very much for your informative site. It brings up so many long buried memories. In early 1972 I trained on Okinawa to be a M.P. Sentry dog handler. I had to leave my best friend, Tony, a sleek German Shepard, in Viet Nam later that year.
