Comment: Great Site! I have been interested in these cars as long as I can remember. I've come close to owning one twice, but it just hasn't quite worked out. I'd love to find a well used example for restoration some where on the American West Coast(I'm in Northern California).

Comment: my father drove a 300 as a company car from 1953 to 1959. Afterwards he never ever drove Mercedes till his death in 1993. He always said the 300 could not be kept on the road when it was slippery, because always the front wheels would wobble in a parallel way.Being a graduate from Vienna Technical University, he will have known what he was talking about. I was too young then to remember more than his permanent hate for the car, which he sold as soon as the bookkeepers of the company allowed to
